Are you looking for a role in a thriving School of Education in a Russell Group university? Do you have expertise in primary teacher education? Are you delivering an exceptional student learning experience through your outstanding teaching and support?
We are looking for a colleague with proven teaching and scholarship capability in Primary Teacher Education to join our lively, enthusiastic and professional team in the School of Education. You will contribute to a new innovative programme, the BA Primary Education with QTS, which will be taught in partnership with Red Kite Teacher Training from academic year 2026/27 onwards. Students will graduate from the programme as qualified primary teachers with a BA in Education with Qualified Teacher Status (ages 5-11).
You should have recent experience of teaching 5- to 11-year-olds in a UK primary school, supporting and advising primary school teachers and /or teacher education. Experience of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities as a subject discipline would be particularly welcomed. You will contribute to other undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supervision and student support as required, in line with your expertise.
The successful candidate will have significant expertise in teaching and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. They will be familiar with teaching to a high standard in both face-to-face and online formats via digital platforms. The post is full-time, based physically in Leeds within the School of Education and may require regular visits to schools and our business partner Red Kite. There is flexibility to work in a hybrid way at times by agreement.
