About us

This position is a key part of the Manufacturing Research Hub for a Sustainable Future (VaxHub Sustainable), led by UCL Biochemical Engineering and the University of Oxford with a number of academic and industrial partners. VaxHub Sustainable is funded with a £12M grant from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), under its Manufacturing Research Hubs for a Sustainable Future initiative. The vision for VaxHub Sustainable is to deliver manufacturing innovations that enable a transformative change towards sustainable and rapidly responsive vaccine manufacture. The role will also involve working with VaxHub Global to increase engagement from organisations in Low- and Middle-income countries.

About the role

The postholder will proactively oversee the consortium of VaxHub members ensuring they are engaged with Hub activities and have opportunities to participat e where applicable. They will be the first point of contact for VaxHub Sustainable and VaxHub Global members and undertake both reactive and proactive communication with members. The postholder will develop member-focused marketing and communication strategies for VaxHub Sustainable and VaxHub Global with colleagues in the Hub, department and faculty. In order to facilitate new academic-member and member-member collaborations, they will also be involved in setting up meetings, events and other networking opportunities. There will be a high degree of interaction with UCL colleagues (departmental, faculty and across UCL), researchers and Hub staff in other academic institutions as well as colleagues at member organisations so excellent team-working and communication skills will be required.

About you

You will be an experienced administrator in business and project administration with experience of working in a client-focused role. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary collaborative and team working environment. You should be able to demonstrate your experience of developing written materials including for use in online environments and social media. We want to give people opportunity for development and this role is one where we could consider a wide range of different skills and experiences .
