Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities
You will support the wider project team in achieving the project milestones by monitoring the progress of the project plan developed by the Research Hub Manager. This will include, under the supervision of the Research Hub Manager, monitoring key milestones; resources management; (spend against plan); developing the Risk Register.
You will maintain an awareness of the Hub universities' principal investigators’ diaries to ensure that monthly, quarterly, outreach events, and annual meetings and conferences can have the highest participation of key staff.
You will support the Research Hub Manager with monitoring and reporting of the Hub’s progress, compiling progress data monthly (e.g. reports published, conference attended, financial expenditure, revenue gained).
Skills and experience required
You will have research project management experience and have experience working in a project/ programme team in a Higher Education Institution. You should have Good IT skills, including the use of MS Office and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills in spoken and written English. You should be able to work to tight deadlines, dealing with conflicting priorities and work accurately under pressure. You should be able to work effectively in a team and have a can-do attitude to problem solving.
Qualifications required
You will be educated with an undergraduate degree (or equivalent level 6 qualification) or higher qualification in project management or proven experience.
