About us

UCL’s Strategic Plan 2022-27 sets out the academic initiatives that have guided our recent endeavours to maintain and extend the high quality and excellent reputation of UCL degrees. These initiatives are reinforced by our Statement of Excellence in Education & Student Experience, which informs our work and strategic priorities. The role of the VPESE team is to drive education excellence through delivering a number of ambitious strategic education projects and workstream.

About the role

This is a 2-Year fixed- term contract. UCL is expanding its Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) Programme, which offers hands-on, skills-focused activities like industry challenges and community hackathons. These experiences aim to enhance collaboration, innovation, and real-world problem-solving for students, especially in Term 3. The programme is currently in a pilot phase and is set to become an annual initiative from 2025–26. UCL is now seeking a strategic and experienced ELO Manager to lead this transition—developing and scaling the programme, identifying new opportunities, and building strong internal and external partnerships. The role involves close collaboration with the Students’ Union, various UCL teams, and faculties.
