The University of Reading School of Law wishes to appoint another outstanding lecturer in criminology to further enhance our academic faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding criminology team within the School of Law. Successful applicants will contribute to the development and delivery of the School of Law’s new criminology undergraduate programmes as well as the expansion of its criminological research profile. Successful candidates will have a track record in conducting high quality criminological research and of delivering high quality teaching. Although we will consider applications from individuals whose research extends the existing criminological expertise of the School of Law, we particularly welcome applications from individuals who have research expertise in green criminology, crimes of the powerful, racism, crime and justice or organised crime.
Candidates must have demonstrable evidence of an ability to teach Criminology UG and PG students, and specifically to teach at least one of the following UG core Criminology modules: Introduction to Criminology, Introduction to Criminal Justice, Advanced Criminological Theory, and Research Methods.
Candidates must also have demonstrable evidence of an ability to teach at least one of the following optional criminology modules: Green Criminology or Crimes of the Powerful.
