LSE is the world’s leading social science institution, which attracts students from across the globe. LSE Catering manages restaurants, cafes, bars and shops across campus and halls of residence providing catering, retail and hospitality services to our staff and student community.LSE Catering are looking for a Catering Supervisor to provide high quality service in our Carr-Saunders Residence Hall.
This exciting position would ideally suit a passionate foodie with an experience as a team leader or supervisor in general catering services and knowledge of modern high street food trends and sustainability ethics. Working within a small team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for kitchen production, developing ideas, procurement and ensuring high standards of food safety are maintained.
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, who is positive minded and motivated. The candidate must have a proven record of quality retail food experience and a knowledge and passion for innovative and current food trends. What’s essential is that you’ll enjoy working within a team. You’ll be assisting with developing junior staff members to consistently deliver great standards; also important are flexibility, teamwork, drive and a passion for good food and service.
Although this position is assigned to Carr-Saunders Hall, all catering staff work flexibly and may be required to work in any of the LSE Catering facilities.
Working hours are varied and may involve early mornings, evenings, and weekends. We offer straight shifts over an average 35-hour week.
