We are seeking a Post Doctoral Research Associate to join Professor Andres Floto's research team in the Department of Medicine, University of Cambridge. This post is available from September 2025, with the successful candidate focusing on better understanding of host-pathogen interactions following phagosomal escape in the context of host-directed therapy.
This is a two-year fixed-term position based in the Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre working closely with other groups in the Department of Medicine, the University and external collaborators including academic and industry partners.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to and lead high impact scientific publications and will present at scientific meetings and disseminate scientific results to a variety of audiences including the general public.
The successful post-holder will be an experienced immune biologist, cell biologist, microbiologist, molecular biologist and bioinformatician with significant experience in infection biology using Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Applicants will also have good verbal and written communication skills.
