The Role
You will be working to support the Research and Innovation team, providing a comprehensive administrative service, delivering support for financial processes and events organisation, in liaison with colleagues in the schools, faculty office and wider university as well as external stakeholders.
You will support a number of projects within the HaSS Faculty Research team, including the administration of the ESRC Impact Accelerator Account (IAA), the AHRC ‘Green Corridors' award and the work of the HaSS Research Institutes, including Faculty Research Groups and Newcastle University Centres of Research Excellence (NUCoREs). This will involve administering internal funding calls, setting up accounts for successful projects, monitoring and reporting on progress.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS) is an exciting, multi-disciplinary faculty, structured around ten academic schools covering subjects ranging from the arts (e.g. fine art and music) across the humanities (ego history and English) to the social sciences (e.g. law and economics). The Faculty has c 700 academic and research staff and c230 support staff across its range of disciplinary areas. It has a significant and diverse student population.

Working in a friendly office on our Newcastle city centre campus, this is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week (with flexible working of up to 50% working from home). The post is fixed-term until 30 April 2028.
